Communion Calls

Communion calls are offered on Sundays and are usually delivered by Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.  Parishioners who are unable to attend Mass regularly should call the Rectory to make arrangements for Communion at home.

Hospital Visitation

Our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion participate in the regional ministries program at Lankenau Hospital on the first Sunday of every month.  As time permits, visits will be made to our parishioners in other hospitals.  If any member of your family is hospitalized please notify the rectory so that a visit can be arranged.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The process whereby baptized and unbaptized adults, who consciously and freely seek full participating membership in the Roman Catholic Church, become fully initiated.  The year-long formation includes: a period of inquiry, the Rite of Acceptance, the Rite of the Elect, celebration of the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist), and a period for mystagogy. The initiation of adults is a gradual process which is meant to include the entire parish community.  Adult Catholics who have already been initiated into the Church, but want to grow in their knowledge of the faith, are also welcome to attend the weekly sessions. Contact the Pastor at 610-664-3770 X12.

Children’s Catechumenate

Any child age of 7 or older, who has not been baptized, follows the adult schedule for the sacraments of initiation.  Saint Margaret Parish provides the sacramental preparation for children of catechetical age who have not celebrated the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, and/or Confirmation. For further information, please contact the Religious Education Office 610-664-3770 X16.

Any parishioner requesting an eligibility certificate must be a registered, active member of St. Margaret Parish, a practicing Catholic in good standing, at least 16 years of age and have received the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist).
