Become a Godparent

To have your child baptized in the Roman Catholic Church, one godparent must be Catholic. The Catholic godparent must be: at least 16 years of age, registered in the parish where they live, fully initiated into the Church, and actively practicing their faith. Catholic godparents who are not registered members of Saint Margaret of Antioch Church must obtain a letter of eligibility from their own parish. One baptized non-Catholic (never baptized Catholic) Christian who is practicing their faith may also be admitted as a Christian Witness along with a Catholic godparent.
