CRS Spotlight: Opposing Cuts to Foreign Aid

Right now, your members of Congress are evaluating the funding levels for critical accounts in the FY19 budget that support migrants and refugees around the world. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops opposes cuts to foreign aid and is calling upon Congress to fund these lifesaving programs at the highest levels possible.

U.S. humanitarian assistance provides shelter, water, education, and hope to refugees. Development assistance addresses the root causes of poverty like violence and lack of economic opportunity, which helps families build better futures in their home countries. Ensure that the United States provides the leadership and aid required to help migrants and refugees where they are and address the root causes of migration. Visit to learn how to get involved!

Ethical Trade Sale September 29-30th after all Masses!

Our parish Peace and Justice Committee will host an Autumn Ethical Trade Sale of coffee, tea, chocolate, and hot chocolate in the Antioch Annex after all Masses on the weekend of September 29 and 30.
The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Ethical Trade Program creates opportunities for us to bring core values of our faith to bear on the choices we make as consumers–choices that have the power to lift our sisters and brothers out of poverty.  Therefore, when you purchase products through the CRS Ethical Trade Program, your purchase gives twice in that you ensure that the farmers who grew these products get a fair price, and you support CRS’ work with low-income farmers around the world.
We hope to see you at the sale!  Thank you!
